Naked Eye teamed up with local researchers in Nigeria, Indonesia and Brazil exploring how flu and fever in emerging markets is being managed. The project was commissioned to drive empathy and consumer understanding for Research & Development work across the pain category.
From visiting traditional herbalists in sprawling markets, to studying family remedies at home, to their use of apps on smartphones, Naked Eye ethnographers explored the cultural, social and economic factors influencing people’s behaviours and treatment choices to manage pain relief.
To gain a different perspective, Naked Eye set up observations in the air, using drones. This allowed the team to map areas in participant’s neighbourhoods where waterborne and airborne diseases such as malaria and influenza were prevalent.
