“It always seems impossible until it’s done.”
This was the inspirational message a healthcare company wanted to communicate to their internal marketing and product team to treat Spinal Muscular Atrophy in children.
To do this the organisation partnered with Eddie Ndopu, an award-winning humanitarian and disability activist. At the age of two Eddie Ndopu was diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy and was given until the age of five to live. He has since gone on to become a leading sustainability, disability, race, LGBTQI+ and social justice advocate giving hope for people with disabilities around the world. Today Eddie has advised organisations such as the World Economic Forum, UN Women and Amnesty International. Naked Eye filmed Eddie across two different countries, recording his life at home and speaking at events including The Economic World Forum discussing themes related to health and social justice. Eddie’s story personified the client’s sense of urgency and ambition. No matter what our circumstances we need to go beyond what we think are out limitations to achieve the extraordinary.
Outcome
Eddie’s story has created impact at every level at the healthcare company that commissioned the work. To date the video has been viewed among over 100,000 employees globally and in over 100 countries where their product is launched. This supports Eddie’s view that “We are more than just patients. We can choose to be ambassadors for impact and change leading the discourse”.© 2025 by Naked Eye Research Limited. All rights reserved.
