360-degree virtual reality (VR) filmmaking is a powerful medium for storytelling, fostering empathy, engagement, and memorable learning experiences. We use VR to immerse clients in the environments we study, allowing them to experience these settings as if they were physically present.
Most of our 360 VR films have been used for education and training, offering a unique level of interactivity that deepens understanding of complex and hard-to-grasp issues
1. Understanding Flu and Fever in Lagos, Nigeria
The 360 VR films allowed teams to step into the daily lives of participants, transporting them to their homes and the places they visit to manage their health: local markets, doctor’s surgeries, neighborhood pharmacies to spaces in urban areas in close proximity with airborne diseases such as contaminated rivers and garbage dumps. The immersive experience provided compelling insights into health challenges in these environments. The films were shown at senior leadership events and part of consumer closeness programmes.
2. Exploring Traditional Chinese Medicine
What do traditional Chinese healthcare practices look like in homes and public spaces? What happens in a treatment room? What foods and herbs are found in traditional markets, and how are they prepared at home? Our VR films brought these elements to life, offering a deep dive into the world of traditional Chinese medicine and well-being.The 360 films were used by the brand team as part of their consumer closeness programmes.
3. Experiencing Life with Lupus
GSK sought to communicate the complex and multidimensional reality of lupus symptoms, including abstract experiences like brain fog.To achieve this, we worked closely with an individual living with lupus—not just as a subject but as an active participant in shaping the film. Together, we co-developed the voiceover, storyboard, and sensory elements to translate the condition into a VR experience. This allowed viewers to step into her mind and body, visualizing the abstract symptoms of lupus in a deeply personal and memorable way.
